Sewing Items!
Greetings once more, all! I've actually finished some decent sewing recently, and I come bearing pictures!
Follow the cut!
The vest and skirt were both just completed today :) The skirt is a nice patterned corderoy and is a three-gored, basically, walking skirt. I would have done a five-gore, but I didn't have enough fabric. It has a pocket and a side-zip :)
The vest is a modified Butterick pattern - I drafted on tails on the back. Eventually, I want to add embroidery and a waist cinch strap in the back with a bustle, but I have other things I need to get done with, first.
The red scarf is something I need to actually make instead of improvising. Currently it's a red scarf, but I intend to make it out of red silk. I'm very happy with the look, though it's obvious I've been paying Persona 3 from it. :)
Side view so you can see how I drafted the outer edge of the tails in.
And here's the back! The gathers, sadly, don't poof nearly as much as I had wanted... but it's still cute and comfy.
And a funny picture sans scarf... but with a riding crop!
Thanks for looking, everybody! Any suggestions of things to add? :) I'm thinking I need something for my head... but I only have mini top-hats, and they look exceedingly costume-y.
