So, I got blood-red highlight/streaks/whatever. :D And it makes all the rest of my hair look like it's this dark purpleish red color, even though it's still just brown.

And it looks awesome.

Also, I drove for about two hours total this weekend. I drove for the first time ever! And I've mastered the three- and five-point-turn, can back out of places fairly easily, know how to work blinkers (lulz), and actually went onto the road for all of ten minutes (down to a bridge on an empty country road, five-point-turned-around, and back to the driveway.)

I'm still terrified of going over 20 mph and being around other people in cars, but not too shabby, hm?

Heh I forgot you were a non driver. ;) All in all it sounds like you're doing great, but not going over 20 mph? I'd scare you witless blowing past you.

Remember it has been disproved from long ago that if you go over 25 mph that your soul will come out of your body. ;)

Also, my one bit of advice to a first time driver from a seasoned driver: If an animal runs out in front of you, safely brake but do not swerve. If you swerve in a panic situation such as that (and it will be one trust me), you are more likely to get into an accident by running off the road, into another car, etc. than if you'd just hit the animal. It's terrible but it's a fact, my brother lost his 1962 Rambler American convertible to that, and the dog he swerved for? Got hit by him anyway as it turned and ran the way he swerved.

I'm also only driving on a very large lawn, though, so that might factor in - over 20mph would mean VERY little time between turns and stuff. And lots of bumpiness.

And okay- I'll try and ingrain that in my subconscious! I've noticed that most animals (at least the small ones) know that something's wrong, and will try and get out of the way. They're not too stupid.

I'm not so sure about that, animals around here seem to have been literally flinging themselves in front of cars here lately. I've had some run out, nearly cross the road, and then run back out in front of my car when I'm 2-3 feet away. :( I'm beginning to think my car has an animal magnet installed in it.

Dont' worry. It gets easier. I didn't get my license until after college, and only out of necessity. I quit being scared of driving after a few months.

Traditionally, people post pics with their hair updates. >:3

What are these 3- and 5- point turns? :o
You have nice parents... letting you drive a "feeler" in a less-accident-prone area. I walked out of PennDOT with my permit and my mom had me drive through downtown Philadelphia immediately. >_

XD Eventually.

And oh, this was my aunt. My parents haven't let me drive at ALL and I've had my permit for half a year. .-.

Also, are you rooming with Aa-chan at Otakon? D: I know Melissa and I are...

Really? Driving isn't so bad. It's the errands that they send you on that get annoying . ^_~

so... what are your otakon plans? we should meet up and hang out.

Ahhh T_T Yeah, our room is still mad expensive since it's just four people including me now.

And let's see... Thursday night I have a photoshoot with that photographer friend of mine (the one who just whipped out the reflecter XD). And I'm working in the Dealer's Room every day, but I'm not sure what times - I'm filling in for the normal helper at Timeless Trends.
