Because piratess__ asked, here are some progress pictures of my Otakon costume. I thought it looked fairly good on, but then I saw the pictures. /o\ This is without all the shiny add-ons (floating rocks and stuff) that'll hopefully obscure how crappily this thing fits, but. Mrr.

I had to make my own patterns for this, which is part of the problem. The other part? The vest fastens only at that one part and has only ZIG-ZAG SEAMS. THERE IS A REASON YOU NEVER SEE THESE IN REALITY. They are IMPOSSIBLE to get to lie flat... mrr.

Also, I didn't put enough volume in the vest. Oh well.

Probably going to need to wear a slip or petticoat under this. The nightgown is knit... first time working with a knit. I still need to finish and add the collar and cravat... also, I need to attach the floating rocks...
