Thursday: Ran and Draco at various times.

Friday: Ran Yakumo up until about 11pm, at which time I'll change into Akihiko for the Dark Hour shoot. The only thing on my schedule is the Touhou shoot at 3pm.

Saturday: Draco, all day, running around with Prince Ralse, Maria, and Locke, as well as a pair of soldiers and a FOUR FOOT TALL OCTOPUS for good measure! We have Masq review at some point, an FFVI shoot at 3pm, and then the Masquerade, plus another photoshoot afterwards. Hopefully we'll be reprising the opera at the fountains afterward.

Sunday: Haven't decided, but probably Apollo Justice.

I'm pretty laid-back about spoilers. I don't usually want to see them, but unless someone's being a dick and posting OMG THE BUTLER DID IT in thirty-point font, I know how to avoid them well enough not to burden other people with demands not to discuss something they're excited about.

That said:

I do not own a television, and therefore haven't seen the LEVERAGE premiere yet.

rockwood got me into Leverage. Our relationship started because we were getting together to watch this kind of show, and this one became a fast favorite, for reasons obvious to anyone who's seen it.

rockwood and my relationship is currently long-distance. He might be making a special trip down in a week and a half to watch Leverage with me, but barring that, I will not see him until August.

So not only am I missing out on something that I'm excited about, I also really miss my boy.

Finally actually got to tai chi today. \o/

It was good. Got through a few movements, not quite caught up to the class but. Also need to slooooooooooooooooow doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown. But yeah.

Apparently they also have classes on Thursday nights. Which I didn't know because it's not on their website.

But yeah. So that's... good.

Okay so I'm boring. Sorry.

You see everyone posting their see you at Otakon messages on LJ.  For the first time I started feeling like, well maybe I should have gone, but na!  I want to sit it out, it's for the best.  Besides there's always Anime Usa and Game X (which will have Zero Punctuation attending!  Must go now!).  I just have to think of something to do with myself this weekend.  A apart of me wants to go to Lancaster and partake in cake goodness up at House of Clarendon.  Another part of me wants to go see End Days at The People's Light and Theater Company (the story looks interesting).  But I know I'll end up just laying in bed and probably watching the Infamous walkthrough for the show Monday.

Ah well whatever.  To all my friends who are going to Otakon.  Have fun, be safe, take plenty of pictures, and please post next year's date as soon as you know.

Well, in the past few days I've finally gotten some time to work on my own dolls a little(commissions have been a little crazy D:). I redid Nero's face up since the eyebrows were killing me and... I don't know, I really don't like his new face up, I'm thinking it's one of those things that I'm TOO familiar with him, so I don't know how to make a change for the better in his face up. So, my question is, is there anyone on my flist who does face ups and might want to do a face up 'trade'? Meaning I send Nero to you with some bare instructions, and you send someone to me to paint and we count it even? I dunno, maybe it's a terrible idea and nobody wants to do it, I'm just a little stuck on Nero.

Otakon is coming up on Friday too ^^; I don't know who will be there, but I'll be there hanging around with Britt, bringing Axel, Maeron, little Bonnie, Wednesday and Xing.

I also redid Virendra, since again, I was starting to hate his face up. I also eherm-ha... made him a 'wig'. I don't know if you can call it a wig, it's either a masterpiece or a monstrosity, I'm not sure which category it falls under at the moment. It needs to be a little darker, but I didn't have the right color dye for it so for now it's just this cherry red. Who knows, maybe it will grow on me xD

This weekend I used some scrap fabric and elastic to try it out.  But it didn't stretch or anything.  The elastic in the channels stretches but the fabric doesn't, meaning it might as well not be shirred at all.  I hope I make since.  Should I have stretched the elastic out when I sewed it to the channel?

Problems encountered that halted progress: Well.. I was a little halted last night with that damn placket. But after reading over my pattern drafting books and re cutting out a new front piece.. I got it figured out :) Although there is definitely still room for improvement on my next attempt.

After many moons... well, weeks, of avoiding it, I've updated my etsy shop with many of the items I've been working on. Jewelry, Steampunk christmas ornaments, Fairy ornaments, Marie Antoinette inspired ornaments, even western themed ornaments, and altered clothing. I think I've covered everything but the kitchen sink this time.



I'm still working on these themes, so stay tuned for more.

It has come to my attention that private kvetchy blogging isn't going to do it if I want to make myself known as an enterpreneur in the fine art of makin stuff and sellin stuff. I hate the word enterpreneur btw. I'm not sure I can even spell it. So, in the nearest future, I will bite my lip and open a businessy, "hey look at my pathetic creative life" blog on wordpress or something. Pretty sure it will be another Cynical Carnivale, though my trade name is sen*jiva design. Meh. Why am i so loath to do this? Is it because, unlike Angeliska, who is exceedingly gorgeous and whose home i'm pretty sure I want to steal, sink and all, I consider myself to be not really so cool and lets face it, a poor housekeeper and lacking in "go-getter" energy? Hmmph. Well, whatevs. Stay tuned.

According to Juan Cole, President of the Global Americana Institute and one of the experts I've been listening to with regard to Iran, Montazeri's fatwa is not really something to break out the green balloons for.

It is being alleged that Montazeri is saying that the Iranian regime is illegitimate, which he is not. He is implying that if Ahmadinejad stole the election by foul means, then his presidency is illegitimate. That is just a self-evident conclusion.

Also, it is being alleged that Montazeri is foremost among the grand ayatollahs, which he is not. On the Iranian scene he has been effectively marginalized by the regime. It is well known that he is on the outs with Khamenei, who put him under house arrest for five years in response to his questioning of the Khomeinist doctrine that the clerics must rule. His fatwa is therefore to be expected and will not cause any surprise or make any special waves in Iran. (It may result in a renewal of his house arrest).

I don't care. I believe in his fatwa. I'll bet there are Iranians who do, too.

I woke up with a headache this AM. And then realized that the likely cause of said headache is the fact that I haven't had caffeine in six days. I think I'll go make a cup of tea.

My Leverage box set was waiting for me when I got home last night! I listened to a few of the audio commentaries. And the new season starts tonight! I'm going to try to stay up to catch it. So glad it's on at 9 instead of 10.

Also caught up on Eureka S3 and it's been soooooooo good. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season plays out.

Been having way too much fun planning things for the upcoming FH AU plot. It should be good fun.
